2007 Halloween Special Review And A Trip To Athol, MA

This episode has TAPS revealing their findings for their 2007 Live Halloween Special, filmed at Waverly Hills Sanatorium, located in Louisville, Kentucky. This is their second trip to the location, with the first trip making the "Best Of" list on this website. The one thing about live episodes, to me personally, is that the production crew, not TAPS, has a lot riding on evidence being found - so I am a little extra skeptical during these events, if you know what I mean. This episode has ECW Wrestler, Elijah Burke, as a guest star.

In addition, TAPS and SciFi offer a competition where 3 winners join TAPS in their investigation for a chance to become an official TAPS member.

TAPS then head out to the residence of Allison Harrington in Athol, Massachusetts to investigate a private home which was the location of a suicide. A young child in the house has repeatedly made drawings of a man they had seen with his brains exposed.

Season 03 - Episode 18

Case #1: Louisville, KY - Waverly Hills Sanatorium

Complaint:
Opened in 1910, with a new 5 story building being built that could hold 400 more patients opened in 1926. 63,00 people died in the hospital.

Full body apparitions, audio sounds, screams, cries. Nurse sighted in room 502 where she hung herself because she was expecting, and not married - the baby was found in the well system. Photos of woman in the room, pregnant women get sick in room, room lights up with blue-white light - moving.

Roof, you can see shadow people through windows from outside on roof. Third floor, figure of man standing in hallway by elevator with white dog - said to be apparition of homeless man and his dog that died in the elevator shaft. Body chute landing, voices and a figure.

TAPS Events:
Jason, Grant, and Elijah investigate the 2nd Floor, and lay a ball in the hallway in attempt to have the entity of a small boy move it, after explaining what they were doing, Elijah says he sees an image of an apparition in a room which looked like a reflection, but there is no glass in the building. The team proceed their investigation of the 2nd Floor, now with the thermal camera in hand. They go back and mark the current position of the ball, and ask for "Timmy", the boy, to move it. They hear a loud banging noise, walk over to investigate it, and when returning to the ball, they notice it has move about 20 feet. As they look at the ball, the can see it wobbling. They check for a breeze, and feel nothing.

Dustin and Kris investigate the Body Chute Area, Dustin notices a flash down the hall on the left side of the wall. Dustin begins calling out for a sign of any presence. There are both startled by something moving very quickly in their area, and Dustin is started to the point where he loosens his grip on his flashlight, and it turns of for a few seconds. They describe it as a ball of light, but running.

Jason and Dave investigate the 4th Floor, and try some EVP and EMF work. They continuously ask for a sign, Steve then begins getting spikes on the EMF meter - up to 1.3, the high all night for them so far. Steve is then startled by what he calls branches reaching up from the ground, grabbing his leg. He looks down and only notices a small twig.

Jason and Grant investigate the Body Chute, Jason notices something down the end of the hall. When asking if somebody is in there, they begin hearing footsteps.

Tango, Dave, and one of the contest finalists, Mark Fusetti, a Warrant Officer out of Philadelphia, investigate the 3rd Floor. Mark begins some EVP work. Dustin, Kris, and another contest finalist, DeAnna Hoffman, a business owner from Indiana, investigate another part of the building, while walking, Kris hears a noise. Heather, Kristyn, and the last contest finalist, Patrick Clark, a radio show host out of Seattle, investigate the 5th floor.

Jason and Grant investigate the 4th floor, they hear and see a door move, Grant assumes it is the wind. They both see what appear to be an apparition, and split up running down each side of a corridor, and try to corner what they saw. They then hear some banging, afterward they both see the apparition again, this time they have Elijah there as well who witnessed the same thing.

The teams all regroup, and Elijah begins to share his experience with the others, he then hears a noise behind his, screams like a girl, and runs down the hall.

At the end, the Mark Fusetti from Philadelphia, PA wins the "Hunt For The Hunters" contest.
